Express Yourself - "What's Your Favorite Dish?"
My aphasia has taken me to another level when it comes to culinary arts. Disable and unhappily retired, I had too much time on my hands, so I went full circle to one of my biggest passions- cooking- with more vigor, creativity and resourcefulness. I love middle eastern, European, you name it. Take my lasagna, a triple-decker veggie with my secret red sauce - Madonna Santa, if the angels in heaven don't serve lasagna at least as good as mine, then I ain't going!
I'd love to know: Whether it's your own recipe or not, what's your favorite dish?
My favorite dish is something my mother used to make once a year on my birthday: Stuffed Cabbage! But I'm a pescatarian now, so instead of meat, the cabbage rolls would be stuffed with tuna, rice, and herbs in a thick marinara sauce.
